Recycled Center Piece Bottle

Hello,

Today I am sharing a new post with you which is "Recycled Center Piece Bottle".

Recycling means turning the materials from waste into something new, that's what this post is all about. Turing a waste glass bottle into something beautiful, which can enhance the beauty of your living room, center table, dining table, bedroom etc. Here is a picture of my recent work-

So let's start making this:

Supplies Used:

 Any glass bottle
 Acrylic paint
 Sponge
 Paint Brush
 Primer
 Decoupage Tissues
 Mod Podge
 Embellishments of your choice
 Varnish

Procedure:

1) First, you need to wash the bottle properly in order to make sure that your work stays on that bottle. I recommend to use a sponge instead of brush in order to apply the first coat of primer. Applying primer with sponge will give an nonuniform base. But if you do the same with brush, that will leave strokes on the glass. Once it is dried, you can apply coat of acrylic paint. I have used peach color acrylic paint from Camlin.

2) Once the acrylic paint is dried, you can use decoupage tissues or paper in order to give an eye catching look. You can use mod podge in order to do the same. It requires at least 8-10 hours as drying time.

3) Before using embellishments, I will suggest to use waterproof varnish to seal the work done on your bottle. You have to give 3-4 hours drying time after applying varnish.

4) Now, you can use embellishments and decorate the bottle.

There you go, you will have your center piece ready. It's recycled, waterproof and most important - "Beautiful". It's also ideal for gifting purpose for any occasion. Let me end this post with a beautiful saying :

"Creativity is making marvelous out of the discarded."

Any ideas or suggestions are most welcome. Also, please pour in your love in the form of comments.

Happy Crafting :) :)  See you soon.

Thanks,

Tags

Hello Guys,

It's been long since I have updated my blog. I would like to apologize for taking such a long break.

Today, I want to share some tags (bookmarks) which I made recently. This is very easy to make with minimal supplies.

Some close-ups of the tags:

As mentioned earlier, these requires very minimal supplies. I took some scraps of white card stocks, distressed it with distress ink (Worn lipstick) and stamped it with Kaisercraft clear stamp using Memento dye ink. Then I took a small sheet of card stock, distressed the edges, stamped and heat embossed it with copper embossing powder.  Lastly, I added a border die cut in order to give the final finishing.

In this tag, I've used white card stock, in which I have pasted textured red pattern paper and a die cut "FRIENDS" in order to give final finishing. In the second one, I have used same white card stock with peacock feather distress ink and pasted same "FRIENDS" die cut.

There you go, your tag is ready :)

In this one, I used some die cuts from "Paper Smooches" brand balloon die and pasted in a big balloon pattern. Then in a small sheet of paper, I stamped and embossed Happy Birthday sentiment from one of the Mudra's clear stamps and foam mounted beneath balloons. Again, very easy to make :) :)

Hope you enjoyed ! Any suggestions are most welcome.

Gate-fold accordion album

Hello,

Today I came up with something which can be used as a memory keeper. Yes, its's an album, which contains 16+ photos.

Supplies Used :

Red Card-stock
Black Card-stock
White Card-stock
Black satin ribbon
Sizzix Border dies
Itsy Bitsy scalloped heart thin dies
Embossing folder
Big shot machine
Martha Stewart score board
Scissors
Glue
Heart punch

Instructions:

Take 12" x 7" red card stock and score at 2 6/8, 3, 9 and 9 2/8 using Martha Stewart score board and crease it making it a gate-fold base. Now, take 5 pieces of 5" x 11" black cardstock and score at 5 1/2". Align all the pieces at accordion style and paste it inside. You can make different styles to pop-out the photos. I used Gate fold style in front, then flaps, tags etc. I took two strips of 2 1/2"x 6 1/2" and dry embossed it through big shot, which I pasted on cover page and tied it using black satin ribbon.

Hope you enjoyed it !!

Hello all,

My name is Sabhyata. I love crafts since childhood but thought of making it as a profession recently. In India, market for crafts are growing and I would love to be a part of that.

This blog is all about handmade crafts.

Let me show you my first creation :

Materials Used (Supplies) -

Red Card Stock
Pink card Stock
Memento love letter dye ink
White Gel Pen
Scissors
Glue
Big Shot Machine
Timbres Clair Clear Stamps
Hot Off The Press Clear Stamp
Sizzlits Deco Die Heart by Sizzix

Instructions -

I have used 5" by 5 1/2" card, in which I have randomly stamped Timbres Clair clear stamps with dye ink. I took a die cut in red cardstock and foam mounted in the center. I embossed Hot Off The Press clear stamps in a vellum paper and pasted beneath heart. I did outlining using white gel pen.
